Fresh off last week’s successes, I stopped by the range again. This time I was determined to shoot the Dot Torture I didn’t shoot last week.

Six draw and shoot one instances. 5/6

Six draw and shoot one instances. 5/6

But first I started with some draw and shoot one. I did a number of draw and dry fire one, trying to remember my training from last week. Then I shot six live fires. My times were:

  • 2.93 hit
  • 2.40 hit
  • 2.00 miss
  • 2.53 hit
  • 2.98 hit
  • 2.65 hit

I shanked one shot left, which annoyed me, and I was shooting slower than I was last Friday, but still better than my usual performance. So that was good.

I then moved on to Dot Torture. I shot at three yards without time pressure. I shot 49/50. I was really humming until I dropped a weak hand-only shot. I really wanted to clear the course, so I was disappointed to drop one. However, I’m still proud of the fact that this is my best score ever on Dot Torture.

I’d like to get to the point where I can consistently clear the board at 3 yards and push back to 5.
